What is Organic Propolis
The use of this resinous substance, Propolis, as antiseptic goes back to 2300 years and finds its source in a "history of bees". They harvest this resin on the bark of injured trees, when nectar and pollen are still scarce, to coat the inner walls of the hive.
They thus clog the breaches, but especially protect their "home" from dangerous intruders and outbreaks of germs (bacteria, fungi).
Difficult product to harvest, Propolis is present in small quantities in honey.
Benefits of Organic Propolis
- Its virtues have been the subject of several books and are based essentially on the presence of flavonoids. These compounds promote the body's defenses against multiple aggressions (bacterial, fungal, viral).
- Deprived of toxicity, Propolis is a very active antibiotic, without all the side effects of the usual "classic" drugs, and causes no resistance from the germs.
- All these antiseptic properties are widely used to fight against respiratory tract infections (bronchitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, rhinitis ...) and, more generally, to stimulate immune defenses.
